Titus...well, we're just a simple surf company located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. We love to surf, therefore, we enjoy sharing the lifestyle and culture with others. In 1999, we started as two boards and a smile (kinda like a lemonade stand,) but here we are twelve years later still enjoying what we do best...helping you learn to surf. Surf school is our thing. We love people, life, and sharing our passion with everyone!
We teach surfing in a fun, laid-back, and encouraging atmosphere. Age is relative. So let's say you have a four year old...if they can't swim, they can't surf. Sorry, little dude. Let's say you're 70 years old, bring it on. We've taught ages ranging from 4 to 70, so all are welcome!

manage. design stuff. tell people about Titus
Nick makes Titus look all cool and stuff. If he's not making art, he's making music. He plays in a local rock band called Mirlo, eats an unnessesary amount of food, listens to a lot of Johnny Cash, makes funny noises, appreciates the retro, really enjoys surfing funky boards, and living life.
surf instructor, great hair, wanderer, fashionable one
We love Jake. Jake is the kinda guy that's always on a mission, but we don't really know where. He loves to travel and experience new cultures. Jake is always giving back to people and he really likes surfing. With longboard in tow, high cut throwback boardshorts that show a lot of leg, and a serious sunburn, you can usually find him surfing. Oh yea, and he never wears shoes...don't ask us. Jake is one of a kind and were glad to have him with Titus.
surf instructor, best looking (and smelling), brings the love
Grace is one cool gal. IF you get out of line, she will seriously kung fu on you. You can usually find her drawing on stuff, throwing sand, reading books, unwillingly answering the company phone (it rings a lot), fishing, or hanging out with the little grommets on the beach. Everyone loves Grace and we do too. She started out as a student a long time ago, and now she's paid her dues to become an instructor.
surf instructor, nautical genius, and comedian
Ian is funny. As a self-proclaimed nautical genius, Ian knows the sea better than any other man. I once heard a story of him eating jelly fish to stay alive while shipwrecked in the Polynesia's (so the story goes). In all honesty, he's a pretty cool guy. Longboarding is Ian's forte and he is currently pioneering a new way to glide the waves with his wooden hand plains. He is serious about your surfing lesson, and you are guaranteed a good time when he's around.
surf instructor, supermodel, wearer of ratty shoes, guitar shredder
Wills is a rather intresting fellow. Classic meets modern best describes what we know as Wills Gray Francis. Currently, he holds the record for the least amount of days worked in a summer...but oh what glorious days they were. With style that knocks the fuzz off a peach, he knows how to surf. Whether he's surfing a longboard or shortboard, Wills makes it look good and he's sure to make you do the same if have a lesson with him.
Ladies and gentlmen I give you...Wills Francis.
surf instructor, big truck driver, camping expert
So your lost in the woods...have no fear Alex is here. With a truck the size of a full grown elephant, Alex is a true outdoorsman. If there are waves, a hurricane on the horizon perhaps, you are sure to find him searching for swell. If your looking for adventure, he's your man. Alex is the genuine artical...you will like him.
surf instructor, cameraman, bee enthusiast
If you were to look up surfer in the dictionary...Kyle is certaintly what you would find. Blond hair, tan, surfs, sleeps, and eats. On one occasion, Kyle rescued a bumble bee from the clutches of the raging sea...to this day if you find Kyle...you are guaranteed to find bees. We like to think the bee's have accepted him as their own. Anyways, Kyle's an amazing surfer that you are sure to love
He doesn't like to be seen, but he's big enough
not to miss. He's pretty progressive and innovative
in his thinking; always a little outside the box, but
would rather be inside the barrels. He goes by many
names; some call him "Steak", others call him "Big Guy",
we just call him Troy.
Surf camps are a great way to be introduced
to the lifestyle and culture of surfing. Young and old we teach 'em all! Flip through with the orange arrows to see some photos of camps and lessons. Then use the red arrows to see photos from our travels.
We love to travel. It's that simple. Whether it's crawling through the Jungles of Costa Rica, cruising the dusty streets of Mexico, surfing the carribean, cliff jumping in Hawaii, playing music in Jamaica, we are there! Check it out!
Surfs flat? We make stuff. Doodling, painting,
tagging, carving wood, writing, graphic design, making clothes, we like art a lot. All of us at Titus create, so we figured we'd showcase some of our masterpieces. We make all our graphics, website, and clothing in house with our multi-talented instructors. Take a gander...
** If you are interested in having your artwork featured on Titus clothing or incorporated into the company, we have a program called the Local Artist Program or LAP. Send it via PDF or JPEG to our email. If we like what we see, we will contact you. We don't steal ideas, so no worries; we know how it feels to be thieved from....aaahhmmmm.

Every year we make it a point to partner with local non-profit organizations that give back to our community. Just to name a few: The LoveNOWproject, Special Grom Capurnaum Surf Camp, Virginia Beach City Public Schools, and hopefully many more in the future. We are firm believers in community. Virginia Beach is where it all began for us, so we like to take care of our locals any way we can.
With all this being said we teach FREE, special surf camps each year for people with disabilities. Take a look at the videos!
For the past couple years, we have partenered with a local VB non-profit called The loveNOWproject and Radical to bring a free surf camp to the kids in Playa Jaco, Costa Rica.
Every year we make an effort to support and visit an orphanage in Mexico called The Purple Palace. These kids are nothing less than amazing. Also, while we're there, we enjoy just hanging out and practicing our Spanish. Hola mi amigos. Pretty good huh?
We plan a new international trip every year not just to travel and surf, but to serve people who are less fortunate around the world. It's hard for us to see beyond office walls and fancy cars that this is a big world with lots of people who just need some help. So we do that best by bringing a few surfboards and smiles...
